Lower Gwynedd is one of six elementary schools within the nationally recognized Wissahickon School District. Our school serves approximately 620 students in grades K-5. Through a strong sense of community, a rich curricular program, an inspiring learning atmosphere, and a commitment to character, Lower Gwynedd prepares its students to become strong participants and leaders in the world community.

Lower Gwynedd Fun Facts

Did you know students who are nominated for their positive character traits get to sign the LEAP Wall of Fame? LEAP stands for Listen. Emphasize. Appreciate. Persevere.

Did you know that LGE provides Morning Miles run by Health teacher, Mr. Jackson? The student with the highest number of laps gets to be part of Field Day ceremonies!  

Every year, LGE celebrates Veterans Day with a big celebration and visits the Veterans Memorial at WHS (a short walk!)

"Work Hard. Stay Positive and Make it Happen LG! " is the closing of morning announcements every day.

At the end of each year, LGE has Field Day with a variety of fun, outdoor activities.
