Family and Consumer Science

The Family and Consumer Science curriculum provides an opportunity for all students to develop skills and knowledge related to the areas of foods and family life education. Lessons include a Food Preparation and Sewing Rotation: Food and Nutrition; Improving the Lives of Families and Individuals; Management of Personal and Family Resources; Communication; Use of Time and Energy; Textiles; Grade Level Sewing Project.

The Family and Consumer Science curriculum provides an opportunity for all students to develop skills and knowledge related to the areas of foods and family life education.  Students are encouraged to explore both areas of Family and Consumer Science by enrolling in electives:

• Baking and Convenience Food
• Gourmet and International Foods
• Nutrition and Food Preparation
• Child Development and Parenting I and II
